Meowww...

A lovely good morning to you all. As we are counting down the last days of September I'm getting more exciting. I love October! Not only do I love Halloween, I love the fall.

This week I wanted to show off one of the last new releases one more time before we see what tomorrow brings us with our 2nd Friday Digital Stamp Release and Challenge. :)

This beautiful kitten is Black Cat. I think she is so cute, sitting up on top of her fence. Jenn did an amazing job with her this last Monday, so I thought I would give it a shot.

I love how she turned out. So cute with her pink little cheeks. Now both Jenn and I opted for the black/grey-ish style for her, but she could easily be purple or bright orange!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and don't forget to grab our Tuesday Freebie and join us tomorrow for the Friday Digital Stamp Release and Challenge. :D

Simply Lovely

Good Morning All,

As you read this I will be out the door and on my way to the Lake District for a well needed break. I can't wait. But I haven't forgotten my weekly inspiration so here is what I have done this week:

I have used Best of Friends Owl and coloured it with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I wanted to keep this card simple so I have only used one K&Co backing paper and some gold mirror card. I added some pearls and a handtyped sentiment to finish.

I hope you have had a chance to check out the fab challenge we have running. If not please scroll down the blog posts to find all the details.

I will see you all next week

Have an a-"mews"-ing birthday

Happy Thursday! Today I decided to take a little detour from all of our Halloween themed cards. Only because I have some winter birthdays coming up and I really want to get started on them. :)

This fantastic image is Milk and Cookies Cat. What is amazing about this cutie, is that it is a 2-fer! You get the cat, but you also get a dog version too. You can't beat that for only $3.00!

I colored this little kitty similarly to the markings on my cat, Maja. She has an almost symmetrical black and white spotting on her face. :) Too bad I could never get a scarf around Maja's neck though, believe you me, I would totally do it! I love scarves.

What you don't see from the image is that I put some gorgeous Sakura Glaze: White on the milk, so it has a great sheen to it. Same with the cookies, which imho only Oreos will do for "milk and cookies". :D Btw, my other cat Millan wanted to let her presence known too. She has taken up position in front of my keyboard to ensure I don't typo anything.

Don't forget about our challenges being held every Friday! You can find the current challenge here.

Halloween... so soon!

Good morning and happy Sunday everyone! Today I thought I would post a card that I did with the theme (orange, purple & black) for the weekly challenge at 2 Cute Ink. I'm not much of a Halloween person, but the images at 2 Cute Ink are perfect for those cute and fun cards. I loved making this because it was simple, fun, and turned out totally adorable (if I may say so myself!). I only wish that I could have captured how sparkly the orange gems looked. I had to use the camera in my phone due to technical issues with my laptop. :-P

Supplies:
Stamps - pumpkin love (2Cute Ink)
Cardstock - purple from stash, unknown pattern paper
Copics - YR21, YR12, YR16, YR18, E33, E35, E37, E55, E57
Ink - Memento tuxedo black
Other - Spellbinders dies, orange gems, pop dots, clear Gelly Roll pen, Sharpie white water-based paint marker

Don't forget the new challenges and digi releases at 2 Cute Ink going on every Friday! Not only will you be inspired by the Design Team's cards, but when you enter your card (you must use a 2 Cute Ink image), you are entered to win 3 digis of your choice in the 2 Cute Ink shop! ALSO... keep your eyes peeled for a limited time FREEBIE!!

Hope your weekend is lovely! See ya next Sunday!

It's a Monster Birthday

Good Morning All,

Is it me or are the weeks flying by at the moment. It feels like only yesterday that I was posting my inspiration card and yet it was a week ago. I have used one of my favourite images this week he is called Monster Balloon and here is what I have done with him:

I have coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers to match the backing papers which are from a big pad. The pad was from a craft store in Canada it doesn't have a front cover so I have no idea who they are made by. I added some ribbon that came free with a magazine and some Candi. I handtyped the personalised sentiment ready for my Cousin's Birthday next week. I call him little monster so I thought this card would be perfect for him.

See you all next week

Wishing you pump "grins"...

I'm continuing on with my Halloween theme this week for my 2 Cute Ink card, with another creation using the Pumpkin and Spider Cutie.

I colored the cuties with my Copics and boy I tell you what, I've used a whole lot of the ink from the yellow reds for this guy. :) I love the blending on both of them, even though I covered up the cute spider with some Stickles. I again went with a subtle shading using my mid-tone yellow-red on the pumpkin to get some texture and contours.

I'm pretty excited about tomorrow. It is our first Challenge here at 2 Cute Ink! What is even more amazing is the challenge coincides with Heidi's new releases, so you get to see the new images as the inspiration for the challenge - cool, huh? :) I'm excited and I hope I see a lot of new and familiar faces in the challenge.

Forget Tricks! How About A Freebie Digital Stamp?

Halloween is def all about the treats ;) hehehe

So I seem to be a week behind my 2 Cute DT buds, but I blame this on the dire state of my craft room! However I spent a good couple of hours doing a major blitz on Sunday (mainly just on the junk) and getting together some order! Enough order in fact to find space on my desk to make this tag using Candy Corn Bat

Coloured in using Promarkers:
Bat: Violet, Lilac and Lavender
Candy Corn: Ivory, Mango and Plum Preserve
Outline: Twilight Sky

Background of tag was coloured in with Distress Inks:
Salty Ocean, Peacock Fathers, Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans and Soot Black

Some white metallic paint through sequin waste and a spritz of Tattered Angels Marshmallow

Possibly one of my favourite tags I've made :D

Anyway, I'm off to get in a tub which is similar in colour to Candy Corn Bat!
See ya Kt x

On Cloudy Days

Hi, Jenn here with a card and hopefully some inspiration as well.  I used one of Heidi's cuties and a new stamp called Monster Balloon.  I made this special for a friend going through some rather tough time, and wanted her to know we can still have fun with the clouds around.  I still wanted it to be fun, and I think I accomplish it.

What would you come up with, with this stamp?
We would love to see.

Double Delight

Good morning and happy Sunday everyone! Today I'm posting 2 cards because I missed last Sunday. I had (and am still having) technical difficulties with my laptop and have no access to printing or anything. With this first card, I really had it in my mind to make a birthday card, but it was screaming to be something else. Hope you like it...

Supplies:
Stamp - sail away lion (2 Cute Ink), Happy Retirement (Papertrey Ink)
Cardstock - blue lake (Paper Source), green (Bazzill), Big Dots Blue/Green (Deju Views)
Copics - E30, E31, E33, E37, YR24, YR14, E93, YG17, YG21, YG23, R20, R24, R29, Y11, Y15, Y19,  B21, B23, B0000, C0
Other - buttons (Chatterbox), Spellbinders dies, Sharpie white water-based paint pen

I'll be the first to admit I'm not a cat person, but I think this image is totally adorable. I really wanted to stamp 'warm winter wishes' or something like that, but while looking through my birthday stamps, I found this one that I think fits perfectly.

Supplies:
Stamps - milk and cookies kitty (2 Cute Ink), wishing  you script (Saavy Stamps)
Cardstock - pink and grey from stash, unknown pattern paper
Copics - W00, W0, W1, W2, R20, R21, R81, R83, R85, E93, E25, E21, E23, BV01, BV04, 0
Other - Spellbinders dies, Prima flowers, tiny buttons from stash

****Don't forget that this coming Friday and every Friday thereafter, 2 Cute Ink will have a weekly challenge AND release new images. Cards by the Design Team will be posted using the new images and the theme for the weekly challenge to get you inspired! Enter your card (made with a 2 Cute Ink digi) and you will be entered to win 3 digis of you choice from 2 Cute Ink!

Everyone loves a FREEBIE, right? Well, keep your eyes peeled for a freebie that will be available for a limited time! While you're at it, check out 2 Cute Ink's shop!

Hope the rest of your weekend is beautiful and your week perfect! I've been good AND patient so I'm hoping that my computer will be fixed this week!! See ya next Sunday! ;-)

I got your Bat

Good Morning All,

I  have my inspiration card to share with you today and this week I have used Batty Bat which you can grab along with lots of other cute images from 2 Cute Ink. So here is my creation:

I have used my Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour this image. The papers are all little bits I had left in my scraps drawer and the grey card is from my stash. I have used Spellbinders dies for the circles and the zig zag border. I added a little bit of ribbon that came from Ebay and tied a knot in it. The little pearls are from Colemans Craft Warehouse. Now I know the sentiment is a little odd but I am going to be sending this card to a friend who calls everyone Pumpkin. She is going through a bit of trouble at the moment so this is to tell her I am there for her. So I got your Bat stands for I got your Back. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone else but I know it will to her. I hope this also shows you that Halloween images can be used for more than just Halloween.

See you all next week

I choose to use the stampin up topnote die to create my card base. Image is colored with copics and the shadding on the image and sentiment are done with tim holtz distress inks.  Sentiment is from create with tlc.  Hope you have a great weekend.
