Hippo Birthday!

I remember when I was young how much I loved my birthday. I always dreamed these fanciful days where there were balloons, lots of presents and of course cake. I might be a lot older now, but I still think that birthdays should be extra special for the little ones. Having lots of nephews and nieces under the age of 10 helps. :)

This Thursday's 2 Cute Ink tag is using Birthday Hippo. He is so cute on his little balloon! He is one of the new fabulous creations from Heidi. Colored with Copics and some Stickle bling added to the balloon, makes him a perfect tag for a 4 year old.

Here is a little close up of the cutie. I colored on the "over saturated" side to get the wonderful texture. I could have used my Blender pen to get the same result, if it weren't for the fact it ran out and the new replacement ink is in the mail. :D

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you again.

With all the card making I do, I hardly ever scrapbook. I have tons of photo's of my son's to do one day. Click HERE, to get your Sail Away Lion! Have a beautiful day! Sandy

Hoppy Birthday

Afternoon all!
We've got two new lovely 2 Cute DT members and BOY are they good!
So I'm trying to up my game a bit with colouring and trying some new techniques,
ok what I mean is that I'm not just block colouring which is what I normally do lol

So using a helpful chart a friend sent me, I've coloured in Birthday Froggie,

Promarker colours used:
Frog - Lime Green, Lime Zest and Soft Lime
Cupcake Heart - Maroon, Fuchsia Pink and Pink Carnation
Cupcake Frosting - Antique Pink, Salmon Pink and Cocktail Pink
Cupcake Base - Ginger, Saffron and Oatmeal
Flame - Sunflower, Tulip and Buttercup
Outline - Twilight Sky and April Shower (Autumn and Spring ltd edition sets)

This whole mixing colours and stuff means my list is a LOT longer than usual lol

Anyway, have great week everyone
Kt x

School on Mars?

Good morning and happy Sunday everyone! I hope you've enjoyed all the school cards this week! Today's card wraps up our back to school theme with the up, up and away rocket ship by 2 Cute Ink Digital stamps. I just love the thought that maybe somewhere out there in the universe some mother is sending her child off to school. :-) This digi is not a traditional school stamp, but the minute I saw it, I knew I wanted to do a school card with it; especially since the rover recently landed on Mars.

I really wanted to do a sentiment that was related to Mars kids also having to go to school, but that just wasn't working out. So, I went through my buttons and found these fun school days buttons PLUS the little chalkboard. How fun! I knew exactly what I wanted to do with that chalkboard. Sometimes thinking outside the box *has* to go one step further. I used the Sharpie Paint pen in white for the writing. This is the oil based pen, not the water based.

Supplies
Image - up, up and away rocket ship by 2 Cute Ink
Paper - red and yellow cardstock from Paper Studio, pattern paper from DCWV
Copics - N0, N1, N2, N3, N4, N6, N10, Y28, E84, B23, B26, E000, E01, E02, E93, R22, R24, R27, Y13, Y19, R08, W0, W1, W2, W4, B0000
Other supplies - Spellbinders scalloped rectangle, Sharpie extra fine white paint pen, clear Gelly Roll pen, 3D glue dots, Dress Up buttons school pack

Hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful! See ya next Sunday. :-)

Hugs, Margaret

UR GR8

Good Morning All,

I hope you have all enjoyed seeing the fab cards the DT have been posting this week. I have also been busy and done something a little different today. I have two cards to share with you using different images but the same layout. Sometimes it is hard to find a layout for your cards, but you can get different results even with the same layout. I hope I can inspire you to give it a go.

I have used two of the fab new images for these cards. The one for the boys card is called Doggie Backpack and the one for the girls card is called Kitty Backpack. I have coloured both of the images with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I have used K&co backing papers on both cards and backed everything on silver mirror card from my stash. I added a little bit of white ribbon and some silver Candi to both cards. The buttons are all from my stash I think the star buttons were from Create and Craft and the flower buttons came in a kit from years ago. The sentiments were then handtyped in Craft Artist.

I hope you all have fun weekends, see you again next week

Thursday...purrrfect day

Happy Thursday! I'm Tabbatha and I'll be the regular Thursday gal, which I'm looking forward to. This is my first official post as a member of the 2 Cute Ink Design Team. :)

You know as September rushes to greet us, many are heading back to school. I don't know about you, but I seriously loved my art class. Now, I'm talking way back...like way way back in Kindergarten. :D I loved finger painting and all the crafts we did. And who can't forget that one kid, you know, the one that ate the paste? I know I do.

This card was a lot of fun to make. I seriously love this Kitty Paint Brush digi stamp from the talented Heidi. Although my own two cats are black/black and white I wanted a little brown kitty. I always wanted a calico cat, so this is my own little one for a time, especially since it reminded me of those old art days. Yeah, I was the messy kid, with spills everywhere. Wait...still am!

I colored the cutie using my trusty Copics. I then went back with my Inktense Watercolor pencil in Bark to add a deep shadow along the paintbrush. I have started to play with adding harder shadows to get an added dimension. I really like how it looks, although for some reason my picture is showing rings on the face instead of a smooth blend. Ah well, the card itself irl looks great, so that is what really matters. Haha

Just wanted to finish up and say thank you so kindly for stopping by and I hope to see some new comments on the 2 Cute Ink Design Team Blog. :D

It's time for the teenagers in my life to get back, and get up before noon. LOL!! Today I used 2 Cute Ink's, Kitty Back Pack digital image. You can purchase it HERE. Paper - Hobby Lobby cardstock, navy Stardream, School paper from DCWV
Ink/Markers - laserjet printer, Copics

It's Party Time

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope the sun is shining where you are today. It is meant to be the hottest day of the year here in England. I have some Saturday inspiration for you and for this creation I have used Monster Balloon so here it is:

I love this little monster, Maybe it is because it reminds me of my little boy with it's cheeky grin. I have coloured monster with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I have used some 3D glue to make it pop off the page. All the papers are from a big paper pad I bought during a trip to Canada. Then I finished with some little gems.

I hope you all have lovely weekends and I will be back next week.

bird watching a wild life...

THIS! :D Using 2 Cute Inks Best of Friends image and the standard
male card colours, I've created a cute but still manly card!

Attempted the "outside of the box" technique with the image
without the use of nesties! I'm impressed :D

Once again coloured in using my new Autumn Promarkers lol
